by Sergei Aleksandrovich Esenin (1895 - 1925)

Klën ty moj opavšij, klën zaledenelyj
Language: Russian (Русский)
Our translations:  CHI
Klën ty moj opavšij, klën zaledenelyj,
Čto stoiš', nagnuvšis', pod metel'ju beloj?

Ili čto uvidel? Ili čto uslyšal?
Slovno za derevnju poguljat' ty vyšel.

I, kak p'janyj storož, vyjdja na dorogu,
Utonul v sugrobe, primorozil nogu.

Ach, i sam ja nynče čto-to stal nestojkij,
Ne dojdu do doma s družeskoj popojki.

Tam von vstretil verbu, tam sosnu primetil,
Raspeval im pesni pod metel' o lete.

Sam sebe kazalsja ja takim že klënom,
Tol'ko ne opavšim, a vovsju zelënym.

I, utrativ skromnost', odurevši v dosku,
Kak ženu čužuju, obnimal berëzku.
