Deine flüchtige Stunde!

Sonne lacht überm sternig flimmernden Schnee,
Wolken ruhen fern überm Tale im Kranz,
Alles ist neu, alles ist Glut und Glanz, 
Kein Schatten drückt, keine Sorge tut weh. 
Atmen tut wohl, Atmen ist Seligkeit,
Ist Gebet und Gesang,
Atme, Seele, öffne der Sonne dich weit 
Deine flüchtige Stunde lang! 

Süß ist Leben, süß ist Wonne und Schmerz,
Selig jede verstäubende Flocke im Wind,

Demà reposaràs mort:
brillaran les estrelles, tu no les veuràs,
cantaran els ocells, tu no els sentiràs –
Canta, cor meu, mentre flamegi la teva hora,
la teva hora fugissera!

El sol riu damunt l’estrellat pampallugueig de la neu,
una corona de núvols reposa al lluny damunt la vall,
tot és nou, tot és fervor i esclat,
cap ombra afeixuga, cap pena fa mal.
Fa bé respirar, respirar és beatitud,
és pregària i cant,
respira, ànima meva, obre’t de bat a bat al sol
durant la teva hora fugissera!

Dolça és la vida, dolç el goig i la pena,
feliç és cada floc polsinat en el vent,
