Ständchen

Horch, was das Vöglein singt so schlicht:
Denn meine Liebe ist's, die singt,
Ist meine Seele, die verklingt!

Confirmed with Dichtungen von Alexander Petöfi. Aus dem Ungarischen, in eigenen und fremden Übersetzungen herausgegeben von Karl Maria Kertbeny, Leipzig, F. A. Brockhaus, 1858, pages 252-253.

Serenata
Language: Portuguese (Português)  after the German (Deutsch)
E, ainda assim, canta o rouxinol.

Já é tarde
E ainda dormes, morena donzela?
Ouve o canto do rouxinol,
A triste canção do rouxinol!

Despeja-se torrencialmente a chuva,
O rouxinol, porém, continua a cantar,
E quem ouve sua triste canção
Fica com o coração pesado e deprimido.

Ei, não durmas ainda, morena criança,
Escuta o que o passarinho canta, tão singelo!
Pois é meu amor que canta,
É minha alma que fenece.
