by Julius Rodenberg (1831 - 1914)
Translation by Pavel Oblák

Schlehenblüt' und wilde Rose
Language: German (Deutsch)
Schlehenblüt' und wilde Rose
Hab' ich mir im Wald gepflückt,
Und dazu mit frischem Moose
Liebster Schatz, Dein Bild geschmückt.

Alle Tag' mit jungen Blüten
Herzgeliebte schmück' ich Dich;
Frühling muß die Liebe hüten,
Und die Liebe hütet mich.

Immer, will es Frühling werden,
Fängt die Erde an zu blühn;
Und so lang es grünt auf Erden,
Bleibt auch meine Liebe grün.

Divja roža in bršljan
Language: Slovenian (Slovenščina)  after the German (Deutsch)
Divjih rož in vejo bršljana
On dan sem iz gozda prinesel domov,
Z njimi sem svojo sliko okrasil,
Dekle moje, namesto cvetov.

Vedno s cvetjem in zelenjem,
Ljuba, tvoj spomin krasim,
Kot da te pojim z življenjem
In še sam obstajam z njim.

Da, večno lik naj tvoj mi sveti,
Lep kot v maju sončni žar,
V ljubezni zate vneti
Ne ugasni mi nikdar!
