by Anna (Nuhn) Ritter (1865 - 1921)

Nachhauseweg
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  ENG FRE
Ich häng' mich fest an Vaters Arm,
Mein Herz so voll, mein Kopf so warm,

Schneeflöckchen drehn sich leis und stumm
Im Walzertakt um uns herum.

Und plötzlich, plötzlich tanz ich mit
Und schleife sacht im Walzerschritt:
"La la la, la la la ..."

Dann werd ich roth, der Vater lacht --
Wenn ich nur wüßte, was er gedacht!

Confirmed with Anna Ritter, Gedichte, Neunte Auflage, Stuttgart und Berlin: J.G. Cotta'sche Buchhandlung Nachfolger, 1900, page 10.
