by Hermann von Lingg (1820 - 1905)

Sie geht in aller Frühe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Sie geht in aller Frühe,
noch eh die Dämmrung schwand,
den Weg zur Tagesmühe
im ärmlichen Gewand.
Die dunklen Nebel feuchten
noch in der Straße dicht,
sonst sähe man beleuchten
ein Lächeln ihr Gesicht.
Die Götter mögen wissen,
warum sie heimlich lacht --
es weiß es nur das Kissen,
was ihr geträumt heut nacht.
