Duša moja v plenu
Language: Russian (Русский)
Duša moja v plenu, v plenu u tjažkich dum,
u dnej bez radosti, u noči bez rassveta!
Ni mirnyj son polej, ni ulic pestryj šum
ne budjat bol'še v nej sozvučnogo otveta.

Kuda, kuda bežat'? Pustynen krugozor,
znoj opalil ego dychan'em mračnoj skuki...
I solnce, kak skvoz' dym, brosaet mertvyj vzor,
i prizračny, kak son, i radosti, i muki!

Duša moja v plenu! I grezitsja vdali ej kraj plenitel'nyj,
volšebnyj kraj svobody,
gde šumnyj žizni pir, cvetuščij pir zemli,
kipit, kak vešnie sverkajuščie vody...

Duma moja v plenu, v plenu u tjažkich dum...
