Der munt're Hirt versammelt nun
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE ITA
Aria: Simon
 Der munt're Hirt versammelt nun
 die frohen Herden um sich her;
 zur fetten Weid' auf grünen Höh'n
 treibet er sie langsam fort.
 Nach Osten blickend steht er dann
 auf seinem Stabe hingelehnt,
 zu seh'n den ersten Sonnenstrahl,
 welchem er entgegenharrt.

Hanne
 Die Morgenröte bricht hervor;
 wie Rauch verflieget das leichte Gewölk;
 der Himmel pranget in hellem Azur,
 der Berge Gipfel in feurigem Gold.

Maintenant le pâtre vif rassemble
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Air : Simon
 Maintenant le pâtre vif rassemble
 Ses joyeux troupeaux autour de lui ;
 Vers les prairies grasses sur les collines vertes
 Il les mènent lentement.
 Le regard tourné vers l'est il se tien
 Appuyé sur son bâton,
 Pour voir le premier rayon du soleil,
 Qu'il attend avec impatience.

Anne
 L'aube fait irruption ;
 Comme une fumée les nuages légers se dissipent ;
 Le ciel brille dans l'azur vif,
 Les cimes des montagnes brillent d'un or enflammé.
