Und wieder rauscht mein tiefes Leben lauter, 
als ob es jetzt in breitern Ufern ginge. 
Immer verwandter werden mir die Dinge 
und alle Bilder immer angeschauter. 
Dem Namenlosen fühl ich mich vertrauter: 
Mit meinen Sinnen, wie mit Vögeln, reiche 
ich in die windigen Himmel aus der Eiche, 
und in den abgebrochnen Tag der Teiche 
sinkt, wie auf Fischen stehend, mein Gefühl.

Torna a scrosciare più forte la mia vita profonda,
come fluendo fra sponde più lontane.
E sempre più fraterna io sento a me ogni cosa,
ed ogni forma osservo con maggiore attenzione.
E ciò che non ha nome più familiare a me sento:
con tutti sensi, quasi stormo di uccelli, mi slancio
su dalla quercia verso il cielo, nel vento,
e quando il giorno è nello stagno rifranto,
come portato da un pesce il mio sentire affonda.
