"Nell'avel dunque vado sì presto, or ben? Che monta? La pace è in quel!" L'eco risponde: "La pace è in quel!" Cadon dall'occhio stille segrete al giovinciel! "Ah! Se il solo avello mi dà quete, Lieto vi scendo, dolce è l'avel!" L'eco risponde: "dolce è l'avel!"
