Und weiter reitet der Reitersmann,
Und seufzet schwer dazu:
"So zieh ich denn hin ins Grab so früh -
Wohlan, im Grab ist Ruh!"
Die Stimme sprach dazu:

Dem Reitersmann eine Träne rollt
