Alte Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT ENG FRE ITA
Es kehrt die dunkle Schwalbe
Aus fernem Land zurück,
Die frommen Störche kehren
Und bringen neues Glück.

An diesem Frühlingsmorgen,
So trüb' verhängt und warm,
Ist mir, als fänd' ich wieder
Den alten Liebesharm.

Es ist als ob mich leise
Wer auf die Schulter schlug,
Als ob ich säuseln hörte,
Wie einer Taube Flug.

Es klopft an meine Türe,
Und ist doch niemand draus;
Ich atme Jasmindüfte,
Und habe keinen Strauß.

Es ruft mir aus der Ferne,
Ein Auge sieht mich an,
Ein alter Traum erfaßt mich
Und führt mich seine Bahn.

Ancien amour
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
L'hirondelle sombre est revenue
D'un lointain pays,
Les cigognes bénies reviennent
Et apportent de nouveaux bonheurs.

En ce matin de printemps
Si maussadement couvert et tiède
Il me semble que j'ai retrouvé
Le chagrin d'un amour ancien.

C'est comme si doucement quelqu'un
Me frappait sur l'épaule.
Comme si j'entendais un murmure
Comme le vol d'une colombe.

On frappe à ma porte,
Et il n'y a personne dehors ;
Je respire un parfum du jasmin
Et je n'ai pas de bouquet.

Quelqu'un m'appelle au loin,
Un œil me regarde,
Un ancien rêve me saisit
Et me mène sur son chemin.
