Мне в душу проникали,
И волный с ропотом любви
У наших ног плескали.

Я помню, как уста твои

and the stars with gentle melancholy
looked upon us from the heavens.

I remember how your hand
touched my hand.
And at our happiness the moon
comfortingly smiled.

I remember how your eyes
penetrated my soul,
and the waves with the murmer of love
splashed at our feet.

I remember how your lips
clung to my lips....
And the stars, the waves, and the whole world
drowned in bliss.
