No l’haig de veure
per darrera vegada!
Però em voletegen
mil imatges
de records feliços
càlidament sagrats al meu cor.
Com quan ell era allà,
testimoni del meu goig,
com quan tu per primera vegada,
tímida i afectuosa,
amb el foraster
et trobares
i tot d’una
li llançares
flames eternes.
Xiula, vent del nord,
amb les teves mil llengües de serp,
a l’entorn del meu cap!
No el faràs vinclar!
Millor que facis vinclar
els caps de les joves branques
privades de la maternal
presència del sol.
Amor omnipresent!
Abrusant em penetres,
afrontes els temporals,
els perills del cor,
tu has abocat
al meu precoçment mústic cor
una doble vida,
joia de viure
i coratge.
