Dauernde Liebe
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT DUT FRE
Mein Schatz, ich hab es erfahren,
Daß du willst scheiden von mir;
Tu mir die Ursache sagen,
Was ich getan hab dir?

Kann dir kein Ursache sagen,
weiß weder Zeit noch Stund;
komm ich in fremde Lande,
gar bald vergeß ich dein!

Und als er kam in die Fremde,
dacht er noch etliche Mal:
"Muß wied'r einmal nach Hause,
Muß halten mein ehrliches Wort!"

Und als er wieder nach Hause kam,
Feinsliebchen stand vor der Tür:
"Gott grüße dich, mein Schätzchen,
Sehn wir einander hier?"

Was tat er ihr bald schenken?
Ein schön Goldringelein.
Was schenket sie ihm bald wieder?
Ein schön Goldkränzelein.

Womit war es gebunden?
Mit lauter Liebesband.
Wohl mit Jelängerjelieber,
von Gottes Vaterhand.

Mon trésor, j'ai appris
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Mon trésor, j'ai appris
Que tu veux te séparer de moi ;
Dis m'en la raison,
Que t'ai-je fait ?

Je ne puis t'en dire la raison,
Ne sais ni le moment ni l'heure ;
Je pars en terre étrangère,
Bientôt je t'aurai oubliée !

Et quand il arriva à l'étranger,
Il pensa bien des fois :
« Je dois un jour revenir à la maison,
Je dois à l'honneur de tenir ma parole ! »

Et quand il revint à la maison,
Sa charmante bien-aimée était devant la porte :
« Que Dieu te bénisse mon trésor,
Est-ce nous que nous voyons là ? »

Que lui offrit-il sans tarder ?
Un joli petit anneau d'or.
Que lui offrit-elle en retour ?
Une belle petite couronne d'or.

Avec quoi était-elle nouée ?
Avec un ruban de pur amour.
Emplie de chèvrefeuille,
Par la paternelle main de Dieu.
