So sann sie nach und schwang die Flügel
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): CAT FRE ITA SPA
Tenor-Solo
So sann sie nach und schwang die Flügel
 Jetzt über Indiens Blumenhügel.

Vokalquartett
 O süßes Land! O Götterpracht!
 Es flüstern die Palmen sacht,
 Es flimmert die Sternennacht,
Dort schäumt auf Bernsteingrund das Meer
 Über Korallenriffe her,
Dort brütet heiß der Sonne Brand,
 Im Schoß der Berge Diamant,
 Es rieseln, reichen Bräuten gleich,
Die Bächlein hold an Golde reich,
 Dort duften Sandelhaine süß
 O Paradies!

Erano questi i suoi pensieri, e agitò le ali
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Tenore solo
Erano questi i suoi pensieri, e agitò le ali
in volo sui colli fioriti dell'India.

Quartetto vocale
O dolce paese! Di splendore divino!
 Stormiscono lievi i palmizi,
 la notte di stelle scintilla,
là il mare sul suo fondo d'ambra
 spumeggia tra banchi di corallo,
là il fuoco rovente del sole
cova diamanti nel seno dei monti,
 scorrono, simili a spose generose,
 ruscelli incantevoli ricchi d'oro,
profumano dolcemente di sandalo i boschetti -
 O Paradiso!
