 Hver Tone fra Sø og Land,
 De flvvende Skyer har lagt sig
 Til Hvile ved Himlens Rand.
 I lydløs Tynge samlet
 Er Skovens luftige Bo,
 Og Søens klare Bølger
 Har vugget sig selv til Ro.
 I Vesten kaster Solen
 Sin straalende Purpurdragt,
 Saa drager den over sig Bolgen
 Og drømmer om Dagens Pragt.
 Ej mindste Løv sig rører
 Og kalder paa min Sans,
 Ej mindste Tone klinger
 Og vugger mit Sind i Dans.
 Nej, hver en Magt er sunken
 I egne Drømmes Elv
 Og skyder mig blidt og stille
 Tilbage til mig selv.

 Pas la moindre feuille ne bouge
