Bin jung gewesen
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  CAT ENG FRE ITA
Bin jung gewesen,
Kann auch [mit reden]1,
Und alt geworden,
Drum gilt mein Wort.

Schön reife Beeren
Am Bäumchen hangen:
Nachbar, da hilft kein
Zaun um den Garten;
Lustige Vögel
Wissen den Weg.

Aber, mein Dirnchen,
Du laß dir rathen:
Halte dein Schätzchen
Wohl in der Liebe,
Wohl in Respekt!
Mit den zwei Fädlein
In Eins gedrehet,
Ziehst du am kleinen
Finger ihn nach.

Aufrichtig Herze,
Doch schweigen können,
Früh mit der Sonne
Muthig zur Arbeit,
Gesunde Glieder,
Saubere Linnen,
Das machet Mädchen
Und Weibchen werth.

Bin jung gewesen,
Kann auch mit reden,
Und alt geworden,
Drum gilt mein Wort.

Consigli di una vecchia
Language: Italian (Italiano)  after the German (Deutsch)
Sono stata giovane
posso quindi parlare,
poiché sono diventata vecchia,
la mia parola vale.

Acini belli e maturi
pendono dalla vite:
Vicino mio, a niente serve
un recinto attorno al giardino,
gli uccelli allegri
conoscono la strada.

Ma tu, ragazza mia,
lascia che ti consigli:
Abbi cura del tuo tesoro
trattalo con amore,
e con molto rispetto!
Di due fili sottili,
intrecciane uno,
e legalo
ben stretto a te.

Un cuore onesto
che sappia tacere,
Alzarsi col sole
e lavorare con lena,
Un corpo sano
in panni puliti,
ciò rende degne
donne e fanciulle.

Sono stata giovane
posso quindi parlare,
poiché sono diventata vecchia,
la mia parola vale.
