The word "á" (in lines 3, 6, and 7) has been changed to "a" in accordance with modern spelling. "río" is misspelled as "rio" in the first publication.
La douce brise qui gémit doucement embrasse Les vagues légères qui ondulent en jouant ; le soleil embrasse le nuage à l'ouest et le teint de pourpre et d'or ; la flamme autour du tronc en feu se glisse pour embrasser une autre flamme ; et même le saule, s'inclinant sous son poids, à la rivière qui l'embrasse lui retourne un baiser.
