Jag tänder mitt ljus över hela Atlanten... 
Okända världar, nattliga länder 
vaknen emot mig! 
Jag är den kalla gryningen. 
Jag är dagens obarmhärtiga gudinna 
i dimgrå slöjor 
med litet tidigt morgonhjälmblänk. 
Lätt, lätt löpa mina vindar över haven. 
Mitt starka horn hänger vid min sida, jag blåser ej till uppbrott... 
Väntar jag ännu? Har en gud fördrömt sig? 
Morgonen stiger röd ur oceanen.

Mondes inconnus, pays de la nuit
réveillez-vous à ma rencontre !
Je suis l'aube froide.
Je suis la déesse impitoyable du jour
en voiles de brume grise,
avec l'éclatant casque du matin précoce.
Légers, légers, mes vents courent sur la mer.
Mon cor puissant pend à mon côté, je ne sonne pas le départ ...
Dois-je encore attendre ? Un dieu est-il perdu dans ses rêves ?
Le matin rouge se lève sur l'océan.
