Tenor solo: la Peri veié la marca de la ferida i, passat el furor del combat, arribà amb els primers raigs de l’aurora i recollí l’última gota de sang que s’escolava del cor de l’heroi, abans que el seu esperit s’alliberés. La Peri, quartet vocal i cor: Que aquest present sigui benvingut allà, a la porta de l’Edèn! Car sagrada és la sang que per la llibertat ha vessat el coratge d’un heroi, i no enterbolirà les clares aigües que corren pels boscos dels benaurats! Oh, si hi ha una ofrena del món terrenal, un present preciós per al cel, és la sang d’un fill que mor per la llibertat que us ofereix com última libació! Que sigui el meu/teu present, benvingut allà!
