Tenor La Peri ha visto las heridas, y pasado el furor de la batalla, viene con los primeros rayos de la aurora y recoge la última gota de sangre que del corazón del héroe fluye, antes de que su espíritu vuele libre. La Peri, cuarteto vocal y coro ¡Sea esta mi ofrenda bienvenida allí, a las puertas del Edén! Pues sagrada es la sangre que por la libertad vertió un corazón valiente, y no enturbiará las clarísimas aguas que corren por los bosques de los bieaventurados. Oh, si hay una ofrenda del mundo terrenal, un regalo caro al cielo, es la sangre que un hijo que muere por la libertad os ofrece como última libación. ¡Sea esta mi / tu ofrenda bienvenida allí!
