Vaig sortir a fora ben d’hora al matí, les petites flors resplendien, mai les he vist tan formoses. Vaig gosar de collir-ne una perquè m’agradava molt; però quan vaig voler ajupir-me, vaig veure un joc adorable. Les papallones i les abelles, els escarabats flamants i lluents, tots havien de prestar servei amb un alegre cant matinal; ells es divertien molt i besaven la petita flor a la boca, i segons llur grat, ho feien ben bé una hora sencera. I mentre ells mostraven llur esplai a tort i a dret, la petita flor es vinclava amb joia d’un costat a l’altre. I així no la vaig collir, ella seria morta a l’endemà, i tan sols li vaig dir: adéu petita rosa vermella! I les papallones i les abelles, els escarabats flamants i lluents, amb un posat alegre, em cantaren un bell agraïment.
