by Ludvig Holstein (1864 - 1943)

Viol
Language: Danish (Dansk)
Our translations:  FRE
Min lille Blomst ! Min lille Fugl !
Jeg ser dig fra mit mørke Skjul.
Jeg vil jo intet gøre dig.
Ak, det var Sund at røre dig !
Om blot det var at bukke sig,
jeg voved ej at plukke dig
og røve dig din klare Sol,
Viol ! Viol !

Min lille Blomst ! Min lille Fugl !
Jeg ser dig fra mit mørke Skjul.
Naar blot jeg maa betragte dig,
saa maa du godt foragte mig.
Jeg vil jo ikke bryde dig,
jeg vil jo bare fryde mig
og aande i den samme Sol
som du, Viol !

Min lille Blomst ! Min lille Fugl !
Jeg ser dig fra mit mørke Skjul.
Men ser jeg ham, som plukker dig,
saa sorger jeg, saa sukker jeg.
Jeg kan jo aldrig række dig ;
men han vil en Gang vække dig
af Blomsterdrøm i Sommersol,
Viol ! Viol !

F. Delius sets stanzas 1-2
