Waldfahrt
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG

A trip to the forest
Language: English  after the German (Deutsch)
In the forest, in the forest it's fresh and green,
With branches waving and blossoms blooming,
Through the tops of the trees laughs into our hearts
The heaven's blue and the sunshine.
In the forest, the cool forest.
In the forest, in the forest is love's kingdom,
Where birds are singing on each twig,
Where flowers sway in a caressing wind,
And I rock you and kiss you in my arms, lovely child,
In the forest, the cool forest.
When the sunset glows red through the branches,
And softly dwindles into the night:
Then we leave for home, with the day's
impressions still clinging to our minds
from the forest, the cool forest.
