Liebesnacht
Language: German (Deutsch)
Our translations:  FRE
Nun lös ich sanft die lieben Hände,
Die du mir um den Hals gelegt,
Daß ich in deinen Augen finde,
Was dir das kleine Herz bewegt.

O sieh die Nacht, die wundervolle;
In ferne Länder zog der Tag.
Der Birke Zischellaub verstummte,
Sie horcht dem Nachtigallenschlag.

Der weiße Schlehdorn uns zu Häupten,
Es ist die liebste Blüte mir;
Trenn ab ein Zweiglein, eh wir scheiden,
Zu dein und meines Hutes Zier.

Laß, Mädchen, uns die Nacht genießen!
Allein gehört sie mir und dir.
Die Blüte will ich aufbewahren
An diese Frühlingsstunde hier.

Nuit d'amour
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Je desserre maintenant délicatement la chère main
Que tu avais posée sur mon cou
Pour découvrir dans tes yeux
Ce qui émeut ton petit cœur.

Ô vois cette merveilleuse nuit ;
Le jour est parti vers de lointains pays.
Le chuchotement des feuilles du bouleau s'est tu,
Elle écoute le chant du rossignol.

Le blanc prunellier au-dessus de nos têtes
Est couvert de mes fleurs préférées ;
Avant de nous séparer, coupons-en un rameau
Pour orner ton chapeau et le mien.

Profitons, jeune fille, de la nuit !
Elle nous appartient, à toi et à moi.
Je veux ici garder en mémoire l'effloraison
De cette heure de printemps.
