Italian (Italiano) translations of Zwei Lieder, opus 8

by Oskar Raif (1847 - 1899)

1. Altfranzösisches Sonnet
 (Sung text)
by Oskar Raif (1847 - 1899), "Altfranzösisches Sonnet", op. 8 (Zwei Lieder) no. 1, published 1877 [ voice and piano ], Leipzig, Barth
     ...
Und dann, wie kann ich vergessen Sie,
  Ihr schönes, liebliches Wesen,
Den Blick, die freundliche Lippe, die!
  Viel lieber nimmer genesen!

1. Un sonetto
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Ah, potessi, potessi dimenticarla,
la sua bella, cara, soave, presenza,
lo sguardo, le labbra amiche!
Forse vorrei guarire!
Ma ahimè, il mio cuore, il mio cuore non potrà mai!
E dunque è follia sperarlo!
E volare nel dubbio intorno a lei
dà coraggio e vita,
per non cedere mai! -
E poi, come posso dimenticarla,
la sua bella, cara, soave, presenza,
lo sguardo, le labbra amtche!
Molto meglio non guarire mai!

2. Ich will meine Seele tauchen
 (Sung text)
by Oskar Raif (1847 - 1899), "Ich will meine Seele tauchen", op. 8 (Zwei Lieder) no. 2, published 1877 [ voice and piano ], Leipzig, Barth
Language: German (Deutsch)
Ich will meine Seele tauchen
In den Kelch der Lilie hinein;
Die Lilie soll klingen und hauchen
Ein Lied von der Liebsten mein.

Das Lied soll schau'rn und beben
Wie der Kuß von ihrem Mund,
Den sie mir einst gegeben
In wunderbar süßer Stund'.

2. Voglio tuffare la mia anima
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Voglio tuffare la mia anima
nel calice del giglio;
il giglio con dolce suono rievocherà
una canzone dell'amore mio.

La canzone tremerà con un brivido
come il bacio della sua bocca,
che lei mi diede una volta
in un'ora dolcissima e stupenda!
