by Ferdinand von Hiller (1811 - 1885)

Return to the original list

1. Entflieh mit mir und sei mein Weib
 (Sung text)
by Ferdinand von Hiller (1811 - 1885), "Entflieh mit mir und sei mein Weib", op. 157 (Tragödie : Drei Lieder von Heinrich Heine) no. 1, published 1873 [ voice, piano, and violoncello ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Entflieh mit mir und sei mein Weib,
Und ruh' an meinem Herzen aus;
In weiter Ferne sei mein Herz

Und du bist einsam und allein;
Und bleibst du auch im Vaterhaus,
Wirst doch wie in der Fremde sein.

e sopra il mio cuore riposa;

e tu abbandonata e sola dovrai rimanere,
e se pure resterai nella casa paterna
sarà come stare in terra straniera.

2. Es fiel ein Reif in der Frühlingsnacht
 (Sung text)
by Ferdinand von Hiller (1811 - 1885), "Es fiel ein Reif in der Frühlingsnacht", op. 157 (Tragödie : Drei Lieder von Heinrich Heine) no. 2, published 1873 [ voice, piano, and violoncello ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Es fiel ein Reif in der Frühlingsnacht,
Es fiel auf die bunten Blaublümelein:
Sie sind verwelket, verdorret.

Ein Jüngling hatte ein Mädchen lieb,
Sie flohen heimlich von Hause fort,
Es wusst's weder Vater noch Mutter.

Sie sind gewandert hin und her,
Sie haben gehabt weder Glück noch Stern,
Sie sind gestorben, verdorben.

2. Discese la brina...
Language: Italian (Italiano)
Discese la brina di notte, in primavera,
discese sui delicati fiorellini azzurri:
ed essi appassirono e seccarono.

Un giovane si era innamorato di una fanciulla;

3. Auf ihrem Grab, da steht eine Linde
 (Sung text)
by Ferdinand von Hiller (1811 - 1885), "Auf ihrem Grab, da steht eine Linde", op. 157 (Tragödie : Drei Lieder von Heinrich Heine) no. 3, published 1873 [ voice, piano, violoncello ]
Language: German (Deutsch)
Auf ihrem Grab, da steht eine Linde,
Drin pfeifen die Vögel und Abendwinde,
Und drunten sitzt auf dem grünem Platz,
Des Müllersknecht mit seinem Schatz.

Die Winde weh'n so still und so schaurig,
Die Vögel singen so süß und ... traurig:
Die schwatzenden Buhlen, sie werden stumm,
Sie weinen und wissen selbst nicht warum.

Soffiano i venti, leggeri e sinistri,
