dove fischiano i venti e gli uccelli di sera,
lì sotto sta seduto sopra un verde prato
il garzone del mugnaio con il suo bene amato.

Soffiano i venti, leggeri e sinistri,
soave e triste è degli uccelli il canto,
si fanno muti i sussurri degli amanti,
che, senza capire perché, si sciolgono in pianto.
