Daar vant ic drie joncfrouwen staen, Si waren so wale ghedaen, Dene sanc voor, dander sanc na: Harba lorifa, harba harba lorifa, harba lorifa! Doe ic versach dat scone cruut In den boemgardekijn, Ende ic verhoorde dat suete gheluut Van den magheden fijn, Doe verblide dat herte mijn, Dat ic moeste singhen na: Harba lorifa, harba harba lorifa, Harba lorifa! Doe groette ic die alrescoenste die daer onder stont. Ic liet mine arme al omme gaen Doe ter selver stont; Ic woudese cussen an haren mont; Si sprac: "Laet staen, laet staen, laet staen". Harba lorifa, harba harba lorifa, Harba lorifa!

Als ich sah das schöne Kraut, das im Gärtlein war, und hörte solchen süßen Laut von den Mägdlein klar, freudig ward das Herze mein, dass ich musste stimmen ein: Herba lori fa! Herba lori fa! Herba lori fa! Die Allerschönste grüßt' ich schön, die darunter stund, die Arme ließ ich um sie geh'n zu derselben Stund'. Küssen wollt' ich ihr den Mund. Sie sprach: Lasst ab, lasst ab, lasst ab!
