O Meer im Abendstrahl, An deiner stillen Fluth Fühl' ich nach langer Qual Mich wieder fromm und gut. Das heiße Herz vergißt, Woran sich's müd' gekämpft, Und jeder Wehruf ist Zu Melodie gedämpft. Kaum daß ein leises Weh Durchgleitet das Gemüth, Wie durch die stumme See Ein weißes Segel zieht.
