 Da welken die Lilien
 Auf jedem Beet.

 Der Vollmond gehn,
 Damit seine Thränen
 Die Menschen nicht sehn.

 Da halten die Englein
 Die Augen sich zu,
 Und schluchzen und singen
 Die Seele zu Ruh'.
