Leicht lullt die nachgeklung'ne Weise
In wonneschweren Traum mich ein.

Jo plano com si estigués damunt les ales d’un àngel,
els meus peus a penes toquen a terra,
sento un ressò a les meves orelles
com si fos l’adéu de la meva estimada.

És un so tan dolç, suau i lleuger,
que em parla amb mots tan tímids, tendres i purs,
l’eco melodiós em bressola dolçament
en un somni ple de benaurança.

En un llambrec, els meus ulls – mentre em delecten
les més dolces melodies –
veuen passar, sense volants, sense abrigalls,
