Ach, gaf niet mijn vader steeds weer op mij af, Dan zei ik hem, wat mijn beminde mij gaf. Dus vit jij maar, vader, vit lekker op mij, Hij gaf mij een kusje en nog één er bij. Ach, als niet mijn vader ‘t als stuitend ervoer, Dan zei ik hem, wat mijn beminde mij zwoer. Dus schrik jij maar, vader, en schrik nog maar meer, Je geeft mij toch eenmaal heel graag aan die heer. Mij zwoer mijn beminde heel vast en beslist, Voor hij uit mijn armen zich los had gerist: “Jij hebt bij jou thuis, ja, het langst wel gediend, Als vrolijk op d’ akkers het tarwezaad kiemt.”
