Vse spit krugom; čut' slyšno l'jutsja volny; Utichla burja; negi polon les; V volšebnyj čas, kogda zemlja bezmolvna, Ty dlja kogo blestiš' sredi nebes? Na traurnom plašče bezmolvnoj noči Sijaeš' ty srebristoju slezoj… Svoim lučem plenjaja sladko oči, Kuda stremiš'sja ty vo t'me nočnoj? Gde prjačetsja tvoj luč blagoslovennyj. Kogda zarja rumjanaja vstaet? V lesu-l' gustom? il' slovno perl bezcennyj, Uchodiš' ty na dno šumjaščich vod?… Nedolgo nas ty radueš' lučami; Zarja vstaet, ty prjačeš'sja v volnach… Chot' kratkij mig ešče ostan'sja s nami! Zvezda ljubvi ne merkni v nebesach!
