Um deinen Hals gereihte,
Wie wiegt sie sich so fröhlich
Auf deiner schönen Brust!
Mit Seel' und Sinn begabet,
Mit Seligkeit berauschet
Sie, diese Götterlust.

Was müssen wir erst fühlen,
In welchen Herzen schlagen,
So heiße Menschenherzen,
Wofern es uns gestattet,
Uns traulich anzuschmiegen
An eine solche Brust?

Jou om de hals geregen,
Hoe wiegt het licht en vrolijk
Op jouw volmaakte borst!
Met ziel en zin vervult het,
Met zaligheid betovert 
Het, lust voor god en vorst.
 
Wat moeten wij dan voelen,
In welke harten kloppen
Zo hete mensenharten,
Wanneer het ons vergund is,
Ons innig dicht te vlijen
Aan een zo zachte borst?
