Und Brutustode stirbt?

Bist du nicht Odem Gottes,
Unsträflich, wie sein Licht,
Und stark, wie seine Rechte,
Die Welten baut und bricht?
Bist unsers Kreuzzugs Fahne,

Den Feigen und den Matten
Ein wehend Oriflam.

Nur der ist gut und edel,
Dem du den Bogen spannst.
Nur der ist groß und göttlich,
Den du zum Mann ermannst.
Sein Werk ist Pyramide,
Sein Wort ist Machtgebot.
Ein Spott ist ihm die Hölle.

Chi sei tu, o spirito dell’Amore
che trama attraverso l’universo,
che feconda il grembo della terra
e rende vivo l’atomo?
E che lega gli elementi,
dà forma alle sfere dei pianeti,
esulta al suono delle arpe angeliche
e balbetta nella voce dei lattanti?



















Solo può dirsi buono e nobile
colui al quale tu tendi l’arco.
Solo appare grande e divino
quello che tu guidi verso gli altri uomini.
La sua opera è una piramide,
la sua parola un ordine potente,
una fola è per lui l’inferno,
una quisquilia è per lui la morte.
