Poseł
Language: Polish (Polski)

[Błysło ranne ziółko]1,
Zimne dni się mienią:
Ty, wierna jaskółko,
Znow przed naszą sienią,

Z tobą słońce dłużéj,
Z tobą miła wiosna;
Witaj nam z podróży,
Spiéwaczko radosna.

Nie leć, czekaj, słowo!
Może [ziarna]2 prosisz?
Może piosnkę nową
Z cudzych stron przynosisz?

Latasz, patrzysz w koło
Czarnémi oczyma:
Nie patrz tak wesoło,
Nié ma jéj tu, nié ma!

Poszła za żołniérza,
[Rzuciła tę]3 chatkę;
Koło tego krzyża
Pożegnała matkę.

Gdzie ten szlak na lewo, —
Sciskała me nogi;
A tam, gdzie to drzewo,
Chciała wrócić z drogi!

Może lecisz od niéj?
Powiédzże mi przecie,
Czy nie są tam głodni,
Czy [dobrze im]4 w świecie?

Czy o mnie mówiła
Dobrémi tam słowy?
Czy córeczka miła,
Czy synek ich zdrowy?

La messagère
Language: French (Français)  after the Polish (Polski)
L'herbe et les plantes poussent,
Les jours froids déclinent,
Toi, fidèle hirondelle,
Encore une fois, tu es devant notre maison.

Avec toi, les jours plus longs arrivent,
Avec toi, le beau printemps est là,
Bienvenue à ton retour de voyage,
Joyeuse chanteuse.

Ne t'envole pas, attends, un mot !
Peut-être demandes-tu du grain ?
Ou apportes-tu une nouvelle chanson
Des pays lointains ?

Tu as volé, en regardant tout autour
Avec tes yeux noirs...
Ne regarde pas si gaiment,
Elle n'est pas là, pas là !

Elle est partie avec un soldat,
Elle a quitté la cabane ;
Près de la croix,
Elle a dit au revoir à sa mère.

Es-tu venu en volant d'auprès d'elle ?
Dis-moi si tu l'as vue.
Est-ce qu'ils ont faim ?
Ou est-ce qu'ils vont bien là-bas ?
