Der neidische Mond
Language: German (Deutsch)
Available translation(s): ENG FRE
Nun küsse mich, ich halte still,
Du lieber, lieber Mann,
Und zieht der Mond ein schief Gesicht --
Was geht's den Mond wohl an!

Ich glaube gar, den alten Herrn
Plagt nur der blasse Neid:
Der ginge lieber auch zu Zwei'n
Durch seine Ewigkeit.

Confirmed with Gedichte von Anna Ritter, Leipzig: Verlag von A.G. Liebeskind, 1898, page 18

La lune jalouse
Language: French (Français)  after the German (Deutsch)
Embrasse-moi maintenant, je reste immobile,
Toi cher, cher homme,
Et si la lune fait grise mine
Que nous importe la lune !

Je crois même qu'une pâle jalousie
Ne hante que les vieux messieurs :
Celui-ci préférerait aussi être en couple
Tout au long de son éternité.

En allemand la Lune est un substantif masculin
