Eščë prosit serdce Sveta i tepla! Vse tebja ne rady! Tvoj unylyj vid Gore da nevzgody Bednomu sulit. Slyšit on zarane Krik i plač rebjat; Vidit, kak ot stuži Noč' oni ne spjat; Net odeždy tëploj, Netu v pečke drov... Ty, na čej že, osen', Pospešila zov? Vot -- i chud i bleden Sgorbilsja bol'noj...
