Autumn
Language: English  after the Norwegian (Nynorsk)
Say, where are those birds that in summer gone-by on green boughs their songs sweet were trilling? Once again only I heard that sweet sound, then silence the whole air was filling. For mute are the birds in the autumn. Say, where are the flowers, that nodded their heads and all the green meadows did cover? I gaze all around, but in vain is my search, not one of them can I discover. For flowers fade in the autumn.
From the Sinding score.
