Zu ihr stand all mein Sehnen
Language: German (Deutsch)  after the Norwegian (Bokmål)
Our translations:  CAT
Zu ihr stand all mein Sehnen,
in der lichten Sommernacht;
Doch der Weg ging vorüber am Flusse,
wo heimlich der Wassermann lacht.

[Hei! verstünd' ich wie der zu spielen,
zu umgaukeln der Schönen Sinn,
Sie lauschte wohl meinem Liede,
sie folgte mir überall hin.]1

Ich rief ihn herauf aus der Tiefe,
er spielte, noch heut' mir graut;
Als ich ein Meister geworden,
war sie meines Bruders Braut.

Zu großen Kirchen und Sälen
trug mich mein Lied wohl hin,
Des Wassermanns heimliches Singen
geht mir nicht mehr aus dem Sinn.

Ja, verstehst du mit Grau'n und Singen

Tots els meus anhels eren per a ella
Language: Catalan (Català)  after the German (Deutsch)
Tots els meus anhels eren per a ella,
en la clara nit d’estiu;
però el camí passava per un riu,
on riu el geni de les aigües.

Sí, amb basarda i cants saps
entabanar l’esperit de les belles,
i les atreus a la gran església
de superbes columnes.
