by Aleksandr Sergeyevich Pushkin (1799 - 1837)

Pod vecher, osen`yu nenastnoj
Language: Russian (Русский)
Pod vecher, osen`yu nenastnoj,
V pusty'nny'x deva shla mestax
I tajny'j plod lyubvi neschastnoj
Derzhala v trepetny'x rukax.
Vsyo by'lo tixo - les i gory',
Vsyo spalo v sumrake nochnom;
Ona vnimatel`ny'e vzory'
Vodila s uzhasom krugom.

I na nevinnom sem tvoren`e,
Vzdoxnuv, ostanovila ix...
,,Ty' spish`, ditya, moyo muchen`e,
Ne znaesh` gorestej moix
Otkroesh` ochi i toskuya
Ty' k grudi ne pril`nesh` moej,
Ne vstretish` zavtra poceluya
Neschastnoj materi [tvoej]1.``

Eyo manit` naprasno budesh`!
Mne vehny'j sty'd vina moya -
Menya naveki ty' zabudesh`...
No ne zabudu ya tebya;
Dadut pokrov tebe chuzhie
I skazhu: ,,Ty' dlya nas chuzhoj!``
Ty' sprosish`: ,,Gde moi rodny'e?``
I ne najdyosh` sem`i rodnoj!

Neschastny'j budesh` grustnoj dumoj
Tomit`sya mezh drugix detej!
I do koncza s dushoj ugryumoj
Vzirat` na laski materej;
Povsyudu strannik odinokoj
Vsegda sud`bu svoyu klyanya,
Usly'shish` ty' uprek zhestokoj...
Prosti, prosti togda menya...

Ty' spish` - pozvol` [sebya]2, neschastny'j,
Prizhat` k grudi v poslednij raz.
Prostupok moj, tvoj rok uzhasny'j
K stradan`yu osuzhdayut nas.
Poka leta ne otognali
Nevinnoj radosti tvoej -
Spi, mily'j! gor`kie pechali
Ne tronut detstva tixix dnej!

No vdrug za roshhej osvetila
Vblizi ej xizhinu luna...
Bledna, trepeshhushha, uny'la,
K dveryam priblizhilas` ona,
Sklonilas`, tixo polozhila
Mladencza na porog chuzhoj,
So straxom ochi otvratila
I skry'las` v temnote nochnoj.
