Wandervöglein, leichtes Blut
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wandervöglein, leichtes Blut,
das zur Ferne fliegt,
fröhlich sich auf Wolken ruht,
und in Lüften wiegt.

Könnt' ich einmal mit dir zieh'n
wo kein Auge reicht,
und auf rascher Schwinge flieh'n,
wie ein Traum so leicht!

Nur die Seele folgt der Spur
durch das goldne Licht.
Ach! ich hab' die Sehnsucht nur,
doch die Schwinge nicht.
