Wandern, andare in giro, è la passione del mugnaio, Wandern! Dev'essere proprio un pessimo mugnaio, quello a cui non piace andare in giro. Wandern! Dall'acqua lo abbiamo imparato, dall'acqua! che non ha mai riposo giorno e notte, sempre intenta al suo perpetuo viaggio, l'acqua. Lo vediamo anche dalle ruote, le ruote che non vogliono mai stare ferme, e non c'è giorno che non lavorino, le ruote. Le macine, pur così pesanti, le macine danzano nell'allegro girotondo, e vorrebbero girare ancora più veloci, le macine. O Wandern, mia passione, andare in giro! Signor padrone e signora padrona, lasciatemi andare sereno in giro. Wandern!
