Wie holde Schwestern
Language: German (Deutsch)
Wie holde Schwestern
[Blühn]1 die Rosen
Im tiefen Walde rot und weiß;
Da rauschte gestern
[Heimlich]2 Kosen
Von Mund zu Munde lind und leis.
Durchs grüne Laub die Sonne sah –
Klinge, mein Liedel!
Wohl mir, ich weiß, was da geschah!

Unter den Zweigen
Wilder Reben,
Wo tief im Busch der Finke schlug,
Da hat zu eigen
Sich mir gegeben,
Die ich [in treuem]3 Sinne trug.
Nun steht mein Herz in [Freuden]4 ganz –
Klinge, mein Liedel!
Aus [Dornen]5 bricht der Rose Glanz.

Da ihr zum Ruhme
Meinem Liede
Gesagt, es sei wie duft'ger Wein,
Soll seine Blume
Hinfort nur Friede
Und alle Lust der Minne sein.
Gott wolle, daß es so gescheh' –
Klinge, mein Liedel!
[Doch klinge nimmermehr: O weh!]6
