by Aleksey Vasil'yevich Kol'tsov (1808 - 1842)

Rasstupites', lesa tëmnye
Language: Russian (Русский)
Rasstupites', lesa tëmnye;
Razojdites', reki bystrye;
Zapylis' ty, put'-dorožen'ka;
Daj mne vestku, moja ptašečka!

JA rekoj pojdu po berežku,
Poleču goroj za oblakom,
Na kraj sveta, na kraj belova -
Iskat' stanu druga milova...

JA najdu ego, gde b ni byl on,
JA skažu emu: «Stydno, sovestno
Brosit' dom svoj, otca starova
Da bog vest' kuda zavichrit'sja».

Kak zav'et on kudri černye,
Kak nadenet kaftan barchatnyj,
Podpojašet kušak šelkovyj,
Poceluet, skažet laskovo:

«Net, duša moja, ošiblas' ty,
JA ne v pole vichrem vejalsja;
Po ljudjam chodil, den'gu kopil,
V svoe vremja sčast'e proboval».

Ach vy, dušen'ki-podružen'ki!
Ne ot gorja plaču - s radosti;
Na duše ona ognem gorit,
A net sily, slov duši otkryt'!..
