by Aleksey Vasil'yevich Kol'tsov (1808 - 1842)

Rasstupites`, lesa tyomny'e
Language: Russian (Русский)
Rasstupites`, lesa tyomny'e;
Razojdites`, reki by'stry'e;
Zapy'lis` ty', put`-dorozhen`ka;
Daj mne vestku, moya ptashechka!

YA rekoj pojdu po berezhku,
Polechu goroj za oblakom,
Na kraj sveta, na kraj belova -
Iskat` stanu druga milova...

YA najdu ego, gde b ni by'l on,
YA skazhu emu: «Sty'dno, sovestno
Brosit` dom svoj, otcza starova
Da bog vest` kuda zavixrit`sya».

Kak zav`et on kudri cherny'e,
Kak nadenet kaftan barxatny'j,
Podpoyashet kushak shelkovy'j,
Poceluet, skazhet laskovo:

«Net, dusha moya, oshiblas` ty',
YA ne v pole vixrem veyalsya;
Po lyudyam xodil, den`gu kopil,
V svoe vremya schast`e proboval».

Ax vy', dushen`ki-podruzhen`ki!
Ne ot gorya plachu - s radosti;
Na dushe ona ognem gorit,
A net sily', slov dushi otkry't`!..
