Lass' die Rose schlummern
Language: German (Deutsch)
Lass' die [Rose]1 schlummern,
Und die Wellen auch,
Alle lass sie schlummern,
Nächt'ger Windeshauch!

Alle ruhn sie gerne
Unterm Himmelsdom:
Herzen, nah und ferne,
Blume, Wald und Strom.

Störe nicht des holden
Traumes Wanderzug,
Der die Schwinge golden
Regt zum Niederflug,

Dessen Schlummerweise
Durch die Welten zieht,
Wundersam und leise,
Wie ein Sternenlied.

[Ineinanderbeben]2
Lässt sein Flügelschlag
Alles Einzelleben,
Das getrennt der Tag.

Drum zu früh nicht störe,
Die so bald entfliehn,
Dieser Schlummerchöre
Traumesmelodien.
