Doneu-me la vostra gualdrapa amb el blasó com a catifa per als meus peus! El pom de la vostra espasa ha de deixar per a mi el seu or i les seves pedres precioses, i la brillant fulla serà una furga. I la ploma, blanca com la neu, del vostre capell, roig com la sang, serà un refrescant ventall bo per al temps d’estiu. I el mariscal haurà d’aprendre a coure el pa de blat i a trinxar la botifarra i el farciment per al temps de Nadal! Ara encomaneu la vostra ànima al Sagrat Crist! El vostre cos està venut on ja no hi cap redempció!
